Respect means…

compassionate, respectful, caring behaviour;

treating ourselves and others with consideration and esteem;

taking into account other peoples’ feelings and treating them with dignity.

Interact in healthy relationships!

Talk and act so that SHE feels safe and at ease.

Respect the right to say NO.

Help HER feel good about HER goals in life.

Value HER ideas.

Agree TOGETHER on how to divide work fairly.

A rights-based approach must always be adopted in women’s health care.

These rights and principles include human dignity, addressing the needs and rights of vulnerable groups, accessibility to health systems and freedom from discrimination, based on sex and gender roles. Confidentiality and patients’ privacy must always be respected and a safe and intimate place for the consultation should be ensured.
